Why Cannabis Vaporization?

Vaporization is a technique for avoiding irritating respiratory toxins in marijuana smoke by heating cannabis to a temperature where the psychoactive ingredients evaporate without causing combustion.

Introduction to strains of medical cannabis

INDICA

Indica strains of cannabis originally came from the hash producing country of Afghanistan. Indica plants are short dense plants, with broad leaves and often grow dark-green in color. As Indica strains have more chlorophyll than sativa they grow and mature faster. Indica plants yield is usually higher than Sativa plants. Indica is better for indoor growing because they don't get as tall as Sativa plants.

After flowering starts Indica plants will be mature in 6 to 8 weeks. The buds will be thick and dense, with flavors and aromas ranging from pungent musky, to sweet and fruity.

The medical value of Indica is generally a physical type relaxation, relief of pain, and relief of both physical and emotional tension. Indica's higher CBD than THC content makes it valuable for a sleep aid. Patients with sever pain consistently prefer medicine containing Indica strains of cannabis, as compared to Sativa strains.

SATIVA

In comparison to Indica, Sativa strains of cannabis, which originated in the Himalayan foothills, are taller, take longer to mature, and have less chlorophyll. These differences cause Sativa plants to take longer to mature and make them require more light than Indica plants.  The Sativa strains contain more accessory pigments, which protect the plant from excessive sunlight. Be prepared, Sativa plants can grow very quickly, and can reach heights of 20 feet in a single season.

Sativa typically takes longer to germinate and flower, and grows more wiry than Indica breeds. The leaves of the sativa plants are more delicate than Indica leaves. They are narrower and grow a lighter green in color. Yield is usually lower than Indica, but is very potent, and the plant may have a longer flowering period.

Once flowering has begun, they can take anywhere from 10 to 16 weeks to fully mature. Flavors range from earthy to sweet and fruity. Saliva’s higher THC than CBD levels cause effects described as cerebral, up, and an energetic high.

Sativa

Indica and Sativa are the two main varieties of the cannabis plant used as medicine. There are many strains that are crosses of those two varieties. Within each of those varieties and crosses there are a huge number of individual strains, each with a different cannabinoid profile, effect and name. It is important that you understand how the various strains of cannabis effect your medical conditio, so you may gain the greatest value from your medicine. We reccomend that you seek professional advice, but we offer an introduction to the understanding the various strains of cannabis.

Sativa strains of medical cannabis are very different than Indica strains. According to hearsay evidence:

the Indica strains are a relaxant, effective for anxiety, pain, nausea, appetite stimulation, sleep, muscle spasms and tremors, among other symptoms, and

the Sativa strains are more of a stimulant, effective in appetite stimulation, relieving depression, migraines, pain and nausea. We are now aware of specific strains that are effective for specific conditions and symptoms.

By crossing the genetics of different indicas, different sativas or a combination thereof creates hybrids. The resulting hybrid strains will grow, mature and and produce a variety of medically active properties, depending on their various indica/sativa percentages that they contain.

Cannabis Ruderalis is a subspecies of Cannabis Sativa. The term was originally used in the former Soviet Union to describe the varieties of hemp that had escaped cultivation and adapted to the surrounding region.

Similar Ruderalis populations can be found in most of the areas where hemp cultivation was once prevalent. The most notable region in North America is the midwest, though populations occur sporadically throughout the United States and Canada. Without the human hand aiding in selection, these plants have lost many of the traits they were originally selected for, and have acclimatized to their locale.

Though they contain little THC, these plants hold large potential for use in breeding, both in hemp and marijuana applications. Early flowering and resistance to locally significant insect and disease pressures are but a few of the important traits present in these feral populations.

Hawaii is ideal for cannabis cultivation. Patients Without Time supports the creation of a legitimate medical cannabis production industry in Hawaii, which supports Hawaii's family farmers, and increases Hawaii's self-sustainability, while growing our economy. Hawaii can provide safe easy access to ethical and compassionate standardized guaranteed Hawaiian pharmaceutical grade cannabis medicines.
